Rosalind Vey
Rosalind Vey moves through zero-g the way most people walk down a hallway: without appearing to think about it. She trained in habitat tactical response before transferring to Eden's Civil Investigations Unit, and she has never entirely stopped treating a scene as a room that might still be dangerous.
Where Naomi Kestrel reads systems, Vey reads structures — who could have reached a hatch, how fast, from where, and whether the official maintenance log agrees with the door's own actuation history. She is rarely wrong about the last part.
She is the one Eden's administration calls first when a physical breach is confirmed rather than suspected, and the one her own team calls first when a suspect stops being cooperative. Both calls tend to end the same way: quietly, and in Vey's favour.
Character Notes
Vey does not raise her voice during an arrest. She has found that most people surrender faster to someone visibly unbothered than to someone shouting, and she has built her entire field manner around that observation.
She is fiercely protective of Tamsin Reyes in particular, on the grounds that undercover work is the one specialty on the team with no tactical backup built in. She has said, more than once and to more than one commanding officer, that this will eventually need fixing. Nobody has fixed it yet.
