LOG ENTRY — Rook-7 Location: Survey Office, Threshold Station Context: Initial briefing, Team Lead Thorne presenting incident file
Update to Dock Seven observation:
The panel stress fracture I flagged on arrival is not isolated. Cross-referencing survey office incident reports (physical copies, table, current):
- Report 7 (Year 3): "Persistent vibration in Section G corridor — source unidentified." Section G is adjacent to the boundary-proximate zone.
- Report 14 (Year 5): "Unusual condensation on inner hull, boundary-side. No humidity explanation found." Condensation patterns consistent with temperature differential across a boundary zone.
- Report 22 (Year 8): "Two junior surveyors reported visual anomalies — described as 'shimmer' — in the Section G corridor during a boundary proximity event. Both cleared medical. Incident closed." Closed, not resolved.
Hypothesis forming: the boundary between the two Concordants at this location is not static. It is oscillating. The 40-second chronometer discrepancy is a symptom of this oscillation, not the source.
New data point, current: the wall section I am scanning (Survey Office, east wall, boundary-side) shows a micro-crystalline stress pattern that matches the dock panel from this morning. Same resonance frequency. The pattern extends — estimated — through this section of the station.
I do not yet know what is causing the oscillation.
I know several things it is not: mechanical fault, software error, instrument miscalibration.
The station administration's characterisation of this situation as non-reportable is incorrect.
I am not yet certain whether this is incompetence or a decision.
Flagging for follow-up. END LOG ENTRY
