DETECTIVE AGENCY LOG — Aldera, Field Unit Assignment: Boundary Anomaly Observation, Marsh Causeway Sector Status: Active — disclosure requested
For the first time since this assignment opened, a subject has directly asked.
Filing accordingly.
Confirmed classification: Obliger presence, causeway sector, feeding on the failure loop of Subject A's (Elvira's) closure attempts. This was established internally three days ago and withheld pending request, per standing agency protocol — volunteered findings are statistically more likely to be dismissed or reinterpreted than requested ones. A cat who announces a predator is a cat performing instinct. A cat who answers a direct question is a source.
The mechanism, in full, now that it has been asked for:
The entity is not feeding on the boundary drift. It is feeding on the unresolved status of the failures — the fact that each attempt ends without either subject knowing why, which the entity has been actively sustaining by shifting the pattern substrate a small, deniable amount between each attempt. Subject A's own unresolved classification — what she is, a question she has lived inside for longer than three years — supplied ambient ambiguity the entity used as cover. It did not need to feed on that question directly. It only needed the question to stay open near its hunting ground, the way a bank of fog does not need to be the predator to be useful to one.
I want this recorded precisely, because precision is the counter: naming Subject A's own nature is not required to end this. That question remains open. It is hers, not mine to close, and not this entity's either. What ends the feeding is narrower and achievable tonight — the why behind each failed circle, now fully known between the three of us, with no gap left for the entity to occupy.
Recommendation, filed and actioned as of this entry: nothing further from Subject A is required to break the current loop. The clarity itself is the intervention. The causeway's texture — a wrongness I have logged nightly for three years — is already changing as I file this. Reeds settling. Air pressure normalizing by approximately four percent over the last ninety seconds.
The root-anchor at the dryadic grove is a separate structural matter and remains unresolved; Rook-7's coupling model from this morning still applies, and that work is not tonight's.
Tonight's work is finished.
I was asked. I answered. Filing complete.
