Designed cover for The Fires of Tír na nÓg: a gold serif title over a dark starfield, with a trailing star, in the style of the site's other Aethelrock recording covers.

EXTERNAL RECORDING — LINKED, NOT ARCHIVED Performing credit: Aethelrock Subject: The mythical Tír na nÓg — the Irish Otherworld of legend, not the planet that borrowed its name. The song predates the planet's own founding cooperative naming it after the same myth by a wide margin, and was never written with a second, literal Tír na nÓg in mind. Current standing: Referenced here for context; the recording itself lives on YouTube, not in the Survey Archive's own audio holdings the way the Star Rangers Anthem and Ballad of the Stars do. Despite being about the myth and not the world, it circulates widely across the Celtic Union — most of all on Tír na nÓg itself, where colonists tend to hear it less as a mismatch than as confirmation: their own First Breath thanksgiving already credits the same Otherworld directly, so a song about it plays, in practice, as being about their home world too, whatever the songwriter actually intended.

Archivist's note (S., Survey Archive): Filed as an external reference rather than a recovered recording — we didn't find this one, someone sent it to us. Every intake asks the same two questions: is this actually about the planet, and is the band named after it? No, and no — it's about the old country myth the planet itself is named after, and near as we can tell the band got there independently, the same word arrived at twice out of the same old myth-cycle. Nobody living on Tír na nÓg has ever much cared about either distinction. No transcription attempted; the video speaks for itself.
