Predictive Closure

In Union Irish: Dúnadh Tuarthach — a foretold closing

Predictive Closure is the stabilised condition that follows entropy horizon crossing. In predictive closure, systems still evolve — but most change is recombinational rather than genuinely novel. The range of possible futures narrows until durable surprise approaches zero.

The universe does not stop. It continues processing. The difference is that macroscale outcomes have converged into narrow forecast bands: what will happen is broadly knowable in advance, because the structural capacity for deviation has been exhausted.

Threnos-Ω is the primary canonical reference case for this condition.

Example: Ask a forecasting model in Threnos-Ω what a given civilization will look like in a thousand years, and the answer arrives within a narrow, high-confidence band — not because the model is unusually good, but because the universe has genuinely run out of ways to surprise it.
