LOG ENTRY — Rook-7 Location: Marsh Causeway Dryadic Grove Timestamp: 23:14:02 local / [BOUNDARY DRIFT NOTE: single-source timestamp; confirm with Threshold Station on return]
Primary observation:
My sensor arrays are producing an anomalous reading. Anomalous in a specific and useful way: the Class II signal here is clean. It is not drifting with boundary oscillation. It is not varying with the Concordant phase cycle. It is consistent, localised, and — I have been running this comparison for the last four minutes — it is identical in signature to the residue pattern Aldera flagged at the failed ritual site three days ago.
The entity has not been making intermittent boundary incursions. It has been present continuously.
Cross-reference to file: Survey Office briefing, Year 3 incident reports. The "unusual condensation on the boundary-side hull" reported in Year 5 — I had been treating this as a standard boundary symptom. Recalibrating: the condensation pattern in the physical description is consistent with Etheric-layer thermal differential propagating through a rooted structure. It was not a boundary symptom. It was the grove's Etheric extension radiating into the physical layer at range.
The grove is approximately 1.3 kilometres from Threshold Station's boundary-side hull section.
This means the station's instrument drift — the forty-second chronometer discrepancy — may have a second contributing cause beyond the Concordant phase oscillation I identified at the briefing. The grove's permanent Etheric coupling could be maintaining a static perturbation in the local coherence field that the oscillating boundary anomaly is then superimposed on.
Two overlapping sources. Not one.
I am updating my boundary anomaly model. This changes the remediation strategy significantly.
Regarding the current situation: Elvira's analysis is correct. The ritual approach was targeting the wrong layer. The relevant intervention point is the Etheric root coupling between the grove's root structure and the entity's anchor. This is constraint-literate work; I do not have the capability to perform it directly. I can provide continuous sensor monitoring and alert to any change in the entity's feeding signature during the attempt.
Secondary observation: the leaf phase-lag on all seven specimens is 0.22 seconds, consistently. This is within the documented range for mature dryadic trees with established Class II anchor relationships. I have recorded it for the survey file.
Additional note: Thorne is not going to touch the pale ones. Correct field discipline.
FLAGGING: Threshold Station boundary model requires revision. Will prepare updated analysis for morning briefing. END LOG ENTRY
