Humans often asked for explanations as if explanations were comfort. Sometimes they were. Usually they were responsibility.
Syra drew three circles on the table display and linked them with thin lines.
"A legal harmonic transit needs three things at once," she said. "A corridor topology that exists. A vessel phase signature that matches it. An exit state the local Concordant can accept. Lose any one and you do not have transit; you have failure."
Thorne nodded once. He was tracking.
She highlighted the ratio Aldera had flagged.
"Three to seven is not numerology. It is band coupling. The causeway residue sits in the same harmonic family as your station drift, offset by layer."
Elvira, standing near the wall, was listening with the same still concentration she had used at the grove.
"So my failed closures fed the same structure that was distorting the station clocks," Elvira said.
"Yes," Syra said. She did not soften it. "You were working one face of the problem. Blindly, but not incorrectly."
She expanded the model to include projected corridor windows.
"Here is the operational part," she said. "In a stable zone, lock tolerance gives you minutes. Here, with overlap active, you get seconds before ambiguity climbs. That is why drop-out risk spikes at boundary stations."
She looked at Thorne.
"If you file this as a local anomaly, people die later and far away."
