Not everything that crosses the Interval registers on an instrument. Some of it registers on a sleeper.

The Channel

Adjacent membranes interact in subtle ways through the Etheric layer, and the carrier is already on the record: the trans-concordant constraint field — the manifold band that carries each membrane's archetypal templates — lets a neighbour's templates become locally detectable wherever the Interval narrows. Instruments read that as Membrane Resonance and Intermembrane Bleed. What this entry adds is the second kind of detector.

A mind is a Material-layer process with lawful Etheric coupling, and dreaming is the state in which that coupling runs least supervised — the same state meaning-field pressure already registers in. So near a narrowed Interval, a dreaming or deeply unfocused mind can register bled template structure from the membrane next door, experienced as dreams and visions whose architecture is not local: geometries with the wrong grammar, weather obeying another season's logic, a sense of rooms built to proportions no one here sits inside. The sleeper is not travelling and nothing is visiting. The neighbourhood is simply audible from a bed close enough to the fence.

Legibility: The Archecluster Condition

Whether such a dream carries content or only strangeness is an archecluster-scoped fact. Templates are readable as imagery only against a shared archetype vocabulary — so where the two membranes lie in one archecluster, the neighbour's structure arrives as something a dream can render: places, weathers, figures, wrongness with a shape. Across an archecluster boundary the bleed is still measurable as field structure, but the dreaming mind has nothing to read it as; the accounts on record from such sites describe formless pressure — a dream about nothing, remembered mainly as weight.

The Shared-Telearch Condition

The channel runs strongest where one Telearch holds continuity across both membranes, within the same archecluster. This is doctrine restated, not a new power: continuity is what a Telearch substantially is, and its mandate spans multiple Concordants. Two membranes held by one continuity office have their template-fields kept mutually coherent — and coherence is the difference between a channel that carries structure and one that carries hiss. Where the record's clearest dream-adjacency accounts cluster, the working expectation is a shared continuity office behind the pair; where the offices differ, the accounts thin toward the formless kind even inside one cluster.

What This Is Not

Not communication. There is no addressing, no reply channel, and no fidelity: every attempt to use dream-adjacency as signalling has failed at the first step, because nothing about the channel selects a recipient or preserves a message. A dream is not a dispatch, and a dream is never evidence about who sent it — nothing did.
Not shared. No two sleepers have the same dream, and no instrument, rig or discipline puts one person's dream in another's sleep; the record holds no case and no mechanism. The one way a dream crosses from one mind to another is the oldest one: it is made into something for a waking person — told, drawn, written, sung. That is a work, with an author and a date, weighed the way any work is, and it is what art and creative fiction have always been for. It is not a channel, and the dream arrives in it as the author's account, never as the dream.
Not transit. What crosses is template structure, never matter and never a mind. No one has ever been in another membrane by dreaming of it.
Not predation. This entry describes weather, not visitors. A presence in a dream that engages — bargains, asks, answers, feeds — is not template bleed, and belongs to the classifications the record keeps for things that engage.
Not a verdict on any recorded vision. A mechanism being available assigns no particular account to it. The record's oldest visions at thin places remain exactly as resolved as they were — the Aoife scholarship is the worked example of the record declining to rule on a witness who declined to rule on herself.

Scope

Filed per The Scope of Physical Law: the carrier is manifold structure, formcluster-scoped; legibility is archecluster-scoped, since shared templates are what make a neighbour's structure readable; and the strength of any given channel is a pairwise fact about two membranes and the continuity office that holds them, which is as narrow as a scope gets while still crossing an Interval.
