Archecluster

An archecluster is the set of universes that trace to a single Archewright — every primary universe built inside that Archewright's archetypes and possibility space, together with the derived universes descended from them. One tier up, the formcluster is the set of archeclusters whose archetypes were drawn from a single Formwright's lawful templates. Archewrights define archetypes and possibility space; Worldwrights instantiate primary universes within it. The cluster is therefore a fact about authorship, one tier above the vessels themselves.

It is not a Worldwright's universe set. A Worldwright design like Kaelor Virex's three coupled universes (RTS-9) or Soryth Valen's single primary line (MCS-1) is one architecture inside an archecluster; a cluster can contain many such designs, competing and incompatible with one another, all still drawn from the same archetype vocabulary. Two universes can share an Archewright and share almost nothing else.

It confers no authority in either direction. Worldwright authority exists only in primary universes, and secondary and derived universes do not receive a new one. What a derived universe keeps is kinship: a protouniverse that matures becomes the adult child of its parent — fully independent, answerable to it in nothing, the kinship permanent and the authority temporary. Cluster membership records where something came from. It never establishes standing over it, and nothing in the Cosmic Cascade reverses to make it do so.

It is not adjacency. Cosmic membranes and the Interval between them describe physical separation; an archecluster describes common origin. Two universes on neighbouring membranes need not share an Archewright, and two universes in one cluster may sit nowhere near each other in the manifold.

And the manifold is not part of one. Seating and descent are separate axes, so the Common Manifold belongs to no archecluster and never could: it is not a universe, and it traces to no Archewright. It is instantiated one tier higher, as a Formwright's formtype — which is why every archecluster inside a formcluster is seated in the same manifold, and why two universes of one archecluster may nonetheless sit nowhere near each other in it. Descent is an Archewright fact; position is a Formwright one, and no amount of shared ancestry has ever moved anything closer to anything.

Two pieces of physics are scoped to it. The quantum kernel — quantum information identical to the real universe's, a fact the record states at cluster width and no wider — and harmonic admissibility, the finer vocabulary within it that decides which corridors are lawful, drawn from the Archewright's archetypes. The harmonic-wave FTL channel is therefore specific to, and defined within, the local archecluster: this cluster's vocabulary showing up in the route charts. This confers no authority and no adjacency, like everything else the cluster records. Fold transit is scoped one tier higher, to the formcluster and its manifold.

Where a cluster has a reference universe, that too is a matter of provenance: the primary universe whose record the others are read against, because it is the one holding the whole of it. It is a place to look things up, not a seat.

Example: A derived universe whose physics has drifted well away from its parent's is still in the same archecluster — the archetypes it was drawn from don't stop being the archetypes it was drawn from. No one in the parent universe gains any say over it on that account, and no Worldwright is dispatched to correct the drift.

What cluster membership is detectable as. Nothing observes an archecluster, but the archetypes drawn from one leave a signature that can be read from inside: unrelated cultures arriving at the same shapes without contact. The AI Safety Archetype and its ecological sibling are the best-documented case, and they mark the honest limit of the claim — both are archecluster-scoped, so a culture from another cluster need not share them, and no observation either way exists.
