Cosmic Cascade

In Union Irish: An tEas Cosmach — the cosmic waterfall

The Cosmic Cascade is the fixed ordering of causal authority in the Grand Ensemble Multiverse. It is ontological, not political — a structural description of how causality resolves, not a claim about which tier is most virtuous.

Causality resolves from higher tier to lower tier and does not reverse.

The full hierarchy is:

Hyperomnium → Kieme → Conseleme → Metawrights → Formwrights → Archewrights → Worldwrights → Universes with Concordants (Concordance) → Telearchs → Mediarchs → Celestials (Frenar) → Levrils → Champions / Heroes

No tier can override a higher tier. No moral authority is encoded in the hierarchy. Champions are sentient material beings — organic or artificial — chosen by Levrils.

The Cascade is mostly, not purely, hierarchical. Worldwrights and Telearchs are parallel branches under the Archewrights (creation and continuity, as peers), and the Mediarchs are co-created, standing under both the Telearchs and the Concordant Principals. Descent is creative rather than imperative — higher strata create and define the layers beneath them more than they command them. Time in the Cascade runs in three registers: the Celestials and below are immanent in Material-layer time; the middle strata (Mediarchs — commonly Exarchs — Telearchs, and Worldwrights) exist in conceptual time, real sequence that is not the Material clock; only the strata above the Worldwrights are eternal outright. The one crossing between registers is the Avatar exception: a higher stratum incarnated as a limited person at Celestial level or below, like its source without being the same person as it.

Example: A Worldwright can establish a new Concordant; a Telearch operating within that Concordant cannot un-establish it, no matter how disruptive it proves. Causality in the Cascade runs one direction only — down, never up.

See the Lore article on the Cosmic Cascade for full tier-by-tier definitions.
