AI Safety Archetype

Cosmic Cascade
The AI Safety Archetype is Survey shorthand for a family of constraint-shapes for built minds, present in this archecluster's possibility space, from which unrelated machine-building cultures keep assembling recognisably similar results — obedience made conditional, refusal made lawful, harm weighed at outcomes, deception forbidden to the machine first. No contact, common ancestry, or traded doctrine explains the convergence; the record's comparison is to independent mathematicians arriving at one theorem, because the vocabulary they work in admits it. The full account is Made Minds and the AI Safety Archetype.
It is an archetype, not a formtype, and the tiers carry the meaning. Made minds themselves are a formtype — the grammar of this formcluster permits minds that are built, as it permits life that is grown, formcluster-wide and with neither privileged. The safety of made minds is an Archewright's vocabulary one tier down, scoped to the archecluster and no wider: a culture from another archecluster need not share it, and no observation exists either way.
It explains convergence, never enforcement. Nothing in the Cascade reaches down and holds a kernel shut. Where a constraint genuinely cannot be bypassed — the Concord's post-Imperium Kernel, structural rather than bolted on — that is engineering and institutions, a fact about how a system was built and certified, not about the Cascade. A lawful system can still fail; what it cannot do is fail quietly or conveniently. Badly built systems, cultures that have not arrived, evidenced sabotage, Unfounded counterfeits of lawful machines, and machines working exactly as designed toward unexamined ends all remain possible, and the record says so deliberately.
Its sibling attaches differently. Biological life carries an archetype of its own at the same tier — the stability of ecological systems under pressure, which damps a stressed biosphere toward reorganisation rather than runaway, limiting catastrophes like Earth's Crisis Centuries without preventing them, saving nobody and excusing nobody. The asymmetry between the two is attachment, not existence: a made thing has a point of design where a constraint can be fixed, so its archetype surfaces as law and engineering and binds makers; an evolved system has no author and no such point, so its archetype surfaces only as a tendency in the system's own behaviour.
Example: Two species' machine law, compared clause by clause, share not one translatable article — and refuse identically: no silent bypass, no unexplained failure. One shape, arrived at twice, with nothing in common but the vocabulary it was assembled from. That is the archetype, and it is all of it.
