Every quantum laboratory in the Concord confirms the same textbook, to the last decimal place, that a laboratory on old Earth would have confirmed. Every field office within reach of a thin place files exceptions the textbook does not contain. Both records are correct, and the reconciliation is not a compromise. It is a generalisation.

The Kernel

Standard quantum mechanics — superposition, interference, entanglement, decoherence, the whole information-theoretic apparatus — is preserved exactly, throughout the local archecluster, as the kernel of a larger theory. Not approximately: the record's standing comparison says identical at base, and this entry states what that phrase has always been resting on — and states its scope: the kernel is an archecluster fact, not an Ensemble-wide one, and the whole calibrated record sits inside the cluster. Nothing in the larger theory amends a kernel rule anywhere in it, ever. A physicist who never leaves a quiet region will never need the rest of this article.

The Extension

The larger theory adds lawful coupling terms between the kernel and the Etheric layer — extension structure, laid over the kernel without reaching into it. The known extension structure is exactly the set of effects the record already carries, filed page by page:

the faint Etheric texture on quantum randomness — real, sculptable within strict bounds, and never an edit to an outcome;
the meaning-field overlays on macro-probability, and the conceptual information channel that runs beside the quantum and thermodynamic two;
the second decoherence channel, loud near boundary zones and thin places — the one the cavern constraint exists to engineer away;
the harmonic admissibility structure — which corridor phase-locks and relocation locks are lawful at all, the vocabulary the quantum space harmonic wave transits on.

The extension terms are position- and context-dependent, and where they go to zero — deep quiet rock, boundary-remote space, unminded apparatus — the full theory is the kernel. That is not an approximation holding well. It is an exact restriction, and it is why the cavern constraint works: a sealed cavern is not a place the strange physics is weak, it is a place the extension has been engineered to vanish, leaving a laboratory old Earth would recognise.

Extension, Not Deformation

The kernel's prohibitions survive generalisation whole. No signalling faster than transit, no retrocausal influence, no measurement bypass, no branch-farming oracle — every no-go the laboratory theory proves, the full theory inherits, because the extension adds couplings and never permissions. A Levril's probability work is the worked example: a lawful operation in the extension whose restriction to the kernel is the identity — a sculpted gradient, never an altered outcome. The generalisation is generous with structure and stingy with permission, and every claimed exception on record has died in review the way FTL proposals die: it required the extension to outrank the kernel it extends.

Where the Mathematics Lives

The generalisation is Design Structure mathematics — as mathematics, it is scoped to the mathematical regime the Metawright settles. A Formwright's lawful templates instantiate it; an Archewright's archetypes fix which kernel and which extension vocabulary a cluster actually carries. That tiering is why the parts have the scopes they do: the kernel and the extension's vocabulary are both archecluster facts — the kernel this cluster carries happens to be the real universe's quantum mechanics exactly, corridor admissibility is the cluster's finer vocabulary within it, and the FTL Channel Scope statement sits inside this frame. Whether this kernel is uniquely necessary or merely the local template is a question the record files as closed by structure rather than by answer: a proof carried between conceptual realms arrives as an assertion, and no instrument can be carried where the comparison would have to be made.

What One Theory Buys

Chiefly, the end of a false choice. Identical at base and textured at the margin were never in tension; they are the kernel and the extension of one theory, and every page that seemed to lean two ways — laboratory exactness beside boundary-zone anomaly, a corridor that is lawful physics beside a chart that is local vocabulary, a mind's faint coupling beside an instrument's silence — is leaning on the same frame from two sides. Instruments read the extension only through its correlates because instruments are kernel devices; constraint-literate observers approximate the third channel because minds carry lawful Etheric coupling and instruments do not. One theory, two kinds of reader.

What It Does Not Permit

No faster-than-transit communication, through any extension term.
No retrocausal editing and no timeline to edit — causality flexes and never branches.
No oracle computation: the extension adds a decoherence channel to a quantum computer, not a shortcut.
No exception by intensity: no coupling grows strong enough anywhere on record to amend the kernel it extends.
